Come and join me for some hand-tied posy making at the shop on Thursday 9th July, from 7pm to 9.30pm. Small group size… comfy, down to earth, Tea/coffee, biscuits and a lot of love – £20 per person. You will take away your creations at the end of the evening.

What we will do…

• Learn how to make an informal hand- tied posy from start to finish including how to choose and prepare flowers and foliage.
• Explore flower meanings and languages – how to give flowers that say all the things we can’t.
• Learn some techniques for making more formal hand-tied bouquets … still very Vera style though!

Drop-in outside the shop on Saturday 20th June, between 1pm and 4pm to make a ‘We think you are special ‘ buttonhole and tag for Father’s Day.

Join us at Arnos Vale Cemetery ‘Underwood Centre’ at 1pm on Sunday 10th May for a 2.5 hour Tussie-Mussie workshop…

In the Victorian era, “Tussie-Mussies” were floral bouquets used to convey messages with plants, herbs and flowers.  Those could be messages of friendship, romance and disdain (hopefully not too much of this). Vera will give you a little history and then work with you to create Tussie-Mussie bouquets using fresh flowers, herbs and foliages that bring together old and new flower languages and get you expressing yourself with flowers.
